How to work with Nik-Art

Nik-Art stands for flexible ornaments that are currently unique in their composition on the market. We offer silicone molds that allow you to create countless ornaments by casting them with the flexible paste.

If you prefer a more ready-to-use option and want to start your project immediately, we also have pre-cast ornaments available in our product range.

These ornaments can be attached to almost any surface using commercially available glue. You can then decorate them with your choice of color or other mediums.

A guide to casting your own ornaments using Nik-Art silicone molds.

1. Simply pour our flexible paste directly from the bottle into the mold and place the mold on a flat surface.

2. For most molds, a drying time of 24 hours is sufficient. Then, you can remove your ornament from the mold. For thicker ornaments, wait longer, up to 48 hours.

If you don’t want a flexible ornament, you can also use resin or air-dry clay as the medium. Please refer to the instructions on the packaging for the drying time in those cases.

3. Once you have removed your ornament from the mold, you can attach it to your project using commercially available glue. This can be a furniture piece, picture frame, wooden tray, or even glass.

4. Afterward, you can simply decorate and paint it with color, texture paste, or the medium of your choice. It looks particularly beautiful when the textures are accentuated with metallic wax.

Our ornaments offer you a variety of applications and can be used in different areas, including:

  • Furniture: Use the ornaments to enhance your furniture pieces such as cabinets, dressers, tables, or chairs. Place them on the edges, corners, or surfaces to add a unique accent.
  • Picture frames: Customize your picture frames with the ornaments to give them an elegant and individual touch. Place the ornaments along the frame edges or around the picture to create an appealing frame design.
  • Books: Decorate your books, notebooks, or journals with the ornaments to give them an antique or artistic look. Attach the ornaments to the book spine, cover, or pages to create an attractive design.
  • Decorative items: Use the ornaments to adorn various decorative items such as vases, boxes, candle holders, or sculptures. Add a unique texture or accentuation to them with the ornaments.
  • Artwork: Add a special touch to your wall art using the ornaments. Place them along the frame or around the artwork to achieve an artistic arrangement.

These are just a few examples of the possibilities, and your creativity knows no limits. Experiment with different surfaces and objects to create unique and individual decorations.
